The Adorján House, perhaps the most beautiful and original monument of Szekler folk architecture in the Ciuc region, was handed over to the community on the 24th of October in Armășeni. About 200 people attended the intimate celebration.

Nearly a hundred locals dressed in folk costumes and other interested visitors attended the handover ceremony of the renovated Adorján House. Karácsony László greeted the guests on behalf of the Repülj Madár Association, giving a brief history of the house. The house was built by Sergeant Adorján Imre in 1797, and the gate was built by his son, Adorján Imre. The house has been unoccupied since the 1980s and its condition has steadily deteriorated.
Following the presentation of the brief history of the monument, Homonnai Márton Albert, architect and president of the Association for the Protection of Historical Monuments of Ciuc, emphasized in his speech that: “we are standing in front of the perhaps most beautiful original monument of Szekler folk architecture in the Ciuc region, which was handled with great work and scientific requirements”. He also introduced a short history of the house and its structure, which nowadays shows how the houses and residential buildings of the village might have looked two hundred years ago. He concluded by pointing out that this building is a valuable part of our material and cultural heritage.
At the ceremony also gave speeches Lukács Bence Ákos, on the behalf of the Consulate General of Hungary from Miercurea Ciuc, Diószegi László, president of the Teleki László Foundation, Borboly Csaba, president of the Harghita County Counsel, Keresztes-Pap Géza deputy mayor.
Károly Veronika, president of the Repülj Madár Association, presented a brief history of the Adorján family and expressed gratitude for those who helped to save the monument.
After the speeches, Jenei János, the parish priest of Armășeni, gave his blessing on the renovated building, then the Harghita National Szekler Folk Ensemble presented a production. In between the speeches, the Repülj Madár Association performed local folk songs to brighten up the celebrations.
